Medacs, in partnership with Police Authorities in England and Scotland, provides Forensic Medical Examiners to work as part of a team, participating in an on-duty rota to perform forensic medical examinations of detainees, police personnel and victims of crime. Role of a Medacs Forensic Medical Examiner

• To offer medical care and forensic assessment of prisoner and suspects in police custody, complainants and police officers injured whilst on duty and attend scenes of death to pronounce life extinct

• To provide interpretation of their findings to police, courts and sometimes social services by verbal and written reports
