We are seeking to appoint an experienced planner to take the lead role to work on the most advanced Local Development Frameworks in the country. You will be actively working on preparing strategy, policy and proposals as well as taking the lead role in projects.

Due to expansion we are also seeking a number of planners to work within our development control department. The ideal candidate would deal with a range of applications as well as delegate decisions on planning applications and provide continuing professional advice to other council members, developers and stakeholders.

You will have a planning qualification recognised by the Royal Town Planning Institute or equivalent professional recognition, an excellent verbal communication, negotiation and management skills. This will be matched by your knowledge of planning legislation, regeneration and development control issues.
