Job Description

Quantity Surveyors x 2, Design & Build. Additional Quantity Surveyors of intermediate to senior level are currently sought, to fill new positions within the contractor’s company management structure. The requirement has come about through this busy Contractor securing 2 additional Design & Build projects of £27m and £42m.

The sites are both brownfield ones and are currently in the process of demolition and site clearance. On one there will be partial façade retention, whilst on the other it will be a clean sweep. New double basements to incorporate car parking facilities, with commercial outlets at ground floor level and residential accommodation in the upper 15 plus floors respectively will complete the schemes.

Overall there will be a mixture of private and affordable housing in both projects. Based on RC frames, shell and core, there will be access routes, site services, infrastructure, enabling works, landscaping packages, brick and blockwork, cladding for the externals; whilst the internal packages will see the project through to final handover, including all M&E, fit out, cladding and glazing, painting and carpeting, tiling and flooring.

Ideally with a formal Quantity Surveyor’s qualification you will have a proven track record of working on similar projects for contractor or main contractor, being commercially aware with the necessary skills to plan ahead and ensure a smooth supply schedule for the duration.

It is anticipated that the company will be increasing this sector of their work and those people joining at this stage will find that they are joining an established company with 40 years experience of working in the London environment.

Salary packages will not be a limiting factor as it is intended that the best candidates apply and are accepted. Only those candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered.
