Project Manager. Refurbishment for a £4m Grade 2 Listed Building. This is an excellent opportunity to take charge of a new project involving substantial structural alterations and modifications within a Listed Building. You will ideally have experience of the constraints that are imposed by this type of development when dealing with planning authorities, English Heritage and similar bodies.

The Company have taken a bullish approach in expanding their share of the market and as such with a strong financial base, to call upon, have won additional contracts over and above their current staffing capacity. Both their competitors and the construction industry recognize their ability to run profitable projects, growing over the last 30 years, with an accelerated approach in the last 3 years, they have and are continuing to win some prestige and landmark projects.

The Post is an extra one and this Contractor who is also involved in demolition works, design & build, fit out and refurbishments works envisages continued growth on contracts ranging from £500k to £28m, whilst they aim to increase turnover to exceed £200m in 2007 – 2008.

Accordingly we are looking for a very good Project Manager to take on this additional project. Coming from a proven background in Civil Engineering or Construction Management experience essential, you will be required to take responsibility for the project both in the construction and the commercial elements, the project and engineering staff, sub contractors and overall day to day running of the project. If you have been 2nd in charge on a substantial project and can demonstrate aspirations to succeed you may also suit.
