Job Description

You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the preparation of the council’s Local Development Framework, involving analysis, policy formulation, community stakeholder consultation and taking the framework through its statutory stages to adoption. You are also required to deal with strategic planning issues affecting the council's area such as the Mayor's London Plan and the East London Sub-Regional Framework. Other duties include representing the council at external bodies such as officer task groups of the Thames Gateway London Partnership.

Two to Five years experience in one or more of the following policy formulation - leisure, shopping, recreation environment or employment is preferred.
