Job Description

My client is a diagnostic service provider for the NHS in the North of England. As such they are looking for an experienced specialist in endoscopic procedures.

This position will be based in units in a non-hospital setting so patients with severe or unstable medical conditions will not be endoscoped. Though these procedures are essentially diagnostic in nature biopsies will be taken where indicated.

Procedures include upper and flexible sigmoidoscopies and colonoscopies. You will need to work to a rapid access time with immediate reporting for the patient. In this position you will be working closely within a multidisciplinary team and liaising with other medical and surgical teams where required.

Qualifications and clinical skills required:
* Evidence of completion of approved training programme for endoscopy procedures undertaken
* Evidence of maintenance of skills (completion of >250 procedures undertaken annually)
* Evidence of 85% procedure completion rates
* Evidence of complication rates i.e. perforation
* Eligible for GMC registration or already registered
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
*Current police check from country of origin
* PLAB or IELTS language test
