Job Description

Your experience may include drainage design and modeling (Hydroworks/Microdrainage or similar), flood risk assessments, developing drainage strategies, advice on sustainability issues, hydrological analysis. You may get involved in residential or industrial development on both a small and a large scale.

Your role will involve detailed design and project management of a number of high-profile projects. You will be supporting development applications through the planning process to ensure approval. Close liaison will be required with all parties involved in the planning process including local government, developers, the Environment Agency etc so you should possess first-class communication skills.

Working with a specialist team, you will be supported by a team of experienced technical staff. You will be involved in strategy development for drainage projects so an ability to see the bigger picture - not just the nitty gritty - is essential. Some previous involvement with development applications, or the development process would be an advantage.
