Job Description
Specification:
* Develop and design traffic management, traffic calming and parking proposals in conjunction with local residents, businesses and ward councillors as consultees.
* Develop, design and implement proposals for improving access, parking, walking, cycling and residential amenity as well as improving the safety and efficiency of road networks.
* Help improve the operation and performance of main roads for the movement of people and goods.
* Prepare responsive and proactive traffic management schemes and transportation initiatives to meet local customer needs and implement the Council's transport strategies.
* Develop and implement walking, cycling, and public transport initiatives, safer routes to school projects, schemes to improve road safety, 20 mph schemes and reduce number and severity of road casualties.
